F10 - Adaptations of CISM: Why We Do What We Do When We Do It

Our world is everchanging. It is more evident now than ever, with the introduction of Covid, that CISM teams and crisis response personnel have to adapt and pivot when presented with unique trauma-related situations, limited physical access to trauma-affected populations, and environmental constraints. "Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore" is an adage worth remembering. We need to adapt in a clinically sound way, how crisis response teams provide CISM and crisis support. How do we maintain the integrity and efficacy of CISM interventions in today's world when today's world may not be the world of tomorrow. The CISM interventions' frameworks and theory is sound, crisis responders need to strategically, operationally and tactically apply the interventions within the environment presented.
