I have modified the Post Action Staff Support that was previously only for debriefing the debriefers. I have modified it to use in the hospice and health care arena to offset cumulative stress and enhance retention of employees. Instead of the three step model, it is scheduled and includes four steps. We call is the PASS for Healthcare. There are a small number of guidelines that are to be adhered to. Then the four questions to be answered in turn amongst the group of 2 to 20. We have been using it at a 36 bed Hospice House for over 5 years now and have documented proof of retention and testimonials.
