Learn how specialized facility dogs can help bring comfort to officers and victims in various ways. These facility dogs have 3 purposes- officer wellness, victim support and community engagement. They are fully donated by Puppies Behind Bars and know over 80 commands. The dogs are used to interact with first responders on a daily basis and at critical incident debriefs. The also assist in bringing law enforcement/first responder agencies and their communities together. The team of Officer Fredricks and K-9 Hodges will describe the many ways Hodges interacts and serves his community of Waterford, CT. They will also demonstrate a wide variety of their commands in person.
