Finding Purpose as Peer Supporter will highlight my journey from battling PTSD, Suicidal Thoughts and going through Evidence based CPT twice. Becoming a Peer Supporter and increase my knowledge by getting multiple certifications and trainings to best serve my community. In addition to transitioning into a leadership role on the Peer Team, Having first regional collaboration Symposium on first responder mental health, using an App to get resources into peoples finger tips on their phones. to finally realizing that how to best help everyone is to start with basics of treating others as you would want to be treated. The basic Human needs being meet and supported throughout your life and career can help keep the pile from getting too big and leading to suicide and giving up. Learning the skills of communication to connect with others at the core level and making each other better humans and first responders.
