We look at a recent Canadian study on the effects on healthcare staff (Nurses) as they endured covid and its impact on the profession. How staff dealt with stressors, what worked and what didn't. How we can better support this valuable asset for future crisis. specifically, we look at how nursing staff suffered from the fall out of covid in healthcare, what did staff do to deal with stress, what were the reasons they suffered, what can be done to better support the staff. Participants will Recognize the stressors within the health care community. 2 Understand how trauma affects the healthcare community. 3 identify the applicability of CISM/Peer Support to decrease stress in the healthcare field.
