Emergency Management Professional Green Cross Academy of Traumatology Marysville, Washington, United States
Our schools have become targets for the angst that is so dominate in our world these days. With each incident, the conversation turns to gun control, metal detectors, razor wire and arming teachers. These are not the answers. But what are the realities and what can we do about them… as an individual, a community or a trained CISM Practitioner? Through the use of case study and interactive activities, this workshop will explore current threats and remedies to targeted school violence. A thread throughout the workshop will be the role of CISM as a prevention strategy as well as a recovery mechanism. Appropriate recovery activities ARE prevention.
