When Law Enforcement Officers take the oath, they understand their career may encounter traumatic and life altering incidents. We are taught how to survive those incidents, taught to survive at all costs. What is not taught, how to fight Mental battle after the incident(s). Life After the Pulse Night Club, will take you through Agent Rivas’ career in law enforcement. The numerous ways that trauma was not dealt properly throughout his career. The agencies actions, good and bad, in dealing with the mental health of its members. Cumulative trauma and it’s effects on Agent Rivas. Coming to point in the Dark Place where his own life meant nothing. How the Pulse Night club incident effected Agent Rivas and how it helped show him that help was out there. And finally, how Agent Rivas was able to get help, and get back to being healthy.
