After I watched the TV show Emergency when it was about 6 years old, I decided I wanted to be Johnny Gage when I grew up! I joined the Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company after getting married then joined the Baltimore County Fire Department in 2001. After experiences with some tragic calls early in my volunteer days, I found out what Critical Incident Stress was. I helped start up the BCoFD CISM team and was a team leader for a few years then was the Program Coordinator for the team for the next 16 years.
