NATIONAL Crisis Response Canines
Jensen Beach, Florida, United States
Connie Jantzen is the C.E.O. of NATIONAL Crisis Response Canines, a nonprofit network of trauma-trained crisis response canine strike teams across the United States.
Connie’s current work of responding with canine strike teams to critical incidents across the country is preceded by 30 years of work in the field of failure analysis. Examining catastrophic failures and fatal incidents, both natural and human caused, for the mechanisms, physics and systemic causes underlying them provides the understanding needed to prevent failures, respond and recover from failure, and to create resilience.
This work in failure analysis provides her with a unique perspective for understanding the effects that events paralleling human experience can have on human life when they unexpectedly and catastrophically converge to create a critical incident.
Connie is the CISM Team Lead for NATIONAL Crisis Response Canines, and a member of the multi-discipline Treasure Coast CISM Team.
