Trauma is in the eyes of the beholder; it’s felt in one’s mind, body and spirit. Moving forward after traumatic experiencing is the goal with an empirically-based, multimodality, approach centered in gold standard trauma informed best practices; such as, somatic experiencing, skills development and Post Traumatic Growth (PTG). Recognizing trauma stuck points, negative thought patterns and how the body holds trauma, we look to functional skills development while learning how to actualize the “And so now what? (not “so what, who cares!”). Since trauma does not discriminate, we’ll look at all forms of trauma including multidimensional trauma, generational trauma, micro versus macro traumas, acute versus complex traumas, moral injury in addition to PTSD. During this discovery, a uniquely crafted and well tested therapeutic trauma model including symptoms management and skills development will be presented for attendees to use for themselves as well as with various populations. By providing in depth detail on causes and results of trauma, attendees will learn how to recognize signs of trauma, obtain knowledge on how to prevent trauma triggers from worsening, and ways in which a person can learn how to not only overcome trauma, but thrive after it: moving from surviving to thriving!
