Trey received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University Of South Carolina before beginning his law enforcement career in 1998. Trey spent several years with Richland County Sheriffs Department, Columbia SC as a patrol deputy, Narcotics Investigator and Drug Suppression Team Sargent, before becoming a Deputy US Marshal in 2003. Since 2018, as a member of the USMS Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT), Trey has responded to numerous officer involved shootings, line of duty deaths and suicides. He has collaborated with the US Capitol Police (USCP) since Jan 6th, 2021, on building the USCP Peer Support Program and received a full-time position as a Senior Inspector with USMS CIRT in 2022.
