Jen spent more than a decade working as Firefighter/Paramedic and HazMat Tech in the Chicagoland area before moving to Los Angeles. She currently runs a company that provides personal coaching, consulting, training, and crisis response services to private companies, NGOs, and government organizations. She served on the Executive Board for the Northern Illinois CISM Team and is now a responder for the City of LA's Mayor's Crisis Response Team. She is a graduate of the National Fire Academy and holds an MPA and an MA from CalStateLA. She is now faculty in the philosophy department there.
